  Envera VCR Engine    
  Most of the fuel consumed by passenger cars, SUVs and light duty trucks occurs when the engine is producing relatively little power.  The Envera variable compression ratio engine has very high efficiency at these small power levels enabling large gains in vehicle mileage to be attained.    
     
       
       
  Robust low-cost hardware      
         
 

A highly robust structure is required for adjusting engine compression ratio.  The Envera VCR mechanism is unsurpassed in providing robust structure and low production cost.  The upper crankcase of the 4-cylinder G6C-R engine has a low manufacturing cost and weighs less than 20 kilograms.
